Meet new IACP Strategic Business Partner and 2025 Annual Conference Sponsor ShiftAbility Transformation Consulting!

Through embracing the Smart Living model, providers are able to support greater independence for those they serve and are also able to build their capacity to serve more people in communities of choice. Serving the right people through remote supports gives the organization an opportunity to redistribute their in-person staffing resources, and can be the answer to stabilizing workforce without the need to eliminate or downsize services.

Smart Living Remote Supports is a service model that combines technology and direct care to support people with developmental disabilities. It uses two-way communication in real time, including home-based sensors, cameras and other devices, to provide a less invasive way of responding to the needs of individuals living in the community 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
