Training Event:  Telling Your Story: 101

A well-defined public relations program is an essential component of an organization’s reputation-building toolbox. Why essential? Public relations protects reputation, contributes to creating awareness and fostering understanding in addition to deepening relationships among audiences of importance. Today’s 24/7 multi-media news cycle requires an organization to understand how to tell its story in a timely, clear, compelling and on-message manner. Understanding the role that journalists play and what makes news is key. This workshop will cover topics pertaining to communications preparation, planning for and securing media coverage, thinking like a journalist, interview road rules, the spokesperson’s role, and the advantages of executive visibility.
