Topics:

Training and Coaching DSPs for Excellence in Documentation
This training will look at how to educate DSPs on how to write a strong documentation note. It will walk through the role of the plan writer but then focus on the core documentation elements and how to best engage staff in this writing process. Specifically, the training will identify required pieces of documentation along with how to assist DSP's in including all the elements in a clear and concise way. 

Q&A (1 hr) - Your Questions Answered!  This presentation will be developed based on submitted questions.

MCO Provider Manual Comparison Matrix: A review of the MCO Provider Manuals from United Health Care/Optum, Amerigroup, and Iowa Total Care will be provided.  Attendees will be familiarized with a guide listing information on locations, similarities, and differences between the manuals.

HCBS Training Requirements: A matrix of required training for HCBS staff has been developed. It will be presented and reviewed with attendees who are then able to incorporate it into their Quality Assurance programs. 

The Mayo-Portland Adaptability Inventory: Assessment, Intervention & Outcomes After Brain Injury: During this interactive presentation, participants will be engaged to learn more about the unique process of assessment of needs after someone has experienced brain injury. The Mayo-Portland Adaptability Inventory, participants will discuss how to utilize the process to accurately assess need, intervene, and measure outcomes. Come prepared to learn new skills and apply them in a fun and engaging way!
