With major elections on the horizon, advocacy matters more than ever. The Iowa Providers PAC helps ensure the voices of community providers are heard at the Capitol by supporting candidates who understand the importance of services for Iowans with disabilities, mental health needs, and other community-based supports. One of the PAC's most popular fundraising efforts is the annual Silent Auction held during the IACP Annual Conference & Trade Show. This year's election cycle will shape key decisions impacting Medicaid, workforce investments, provider regulations, and community services for years to come, making your support especially important.
It's Easy to Donate a Basket!
Simply craft a selection of item(s) and send the estimated value, a photo, and a detailed list of those items to IACP by Monday, October 5, 2026. Then bring your basket to the Hyatt Regency Coralville on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
Note: Do NOT mail your basket to the IACP office.
Please be sure to include the name of the donor (an individual, not an organization).
The Ideal Basket
- Can be used statewide and appeals to a broad audience.
- Has a minimum value of $50.
- Is "table ready" (basket, bag, shrink-wrapped, etc.) when delivered to the conference.
- Popular themes from past auctions include Iowa/UNI/ISU items, autographed memorabilia, sports team merchandise, quilts, hotel or vacation packages, handcrafted woodworking, wine and spirits, BBQ, beach themes, gardening, kids' activities, and more.
- Perishable or living items will not be accepted.

About the Iowa Providers PAC
The Iowa Providers Political Action Committee (PAC) is a bipartisan commission that supports IACP's policy priorities and advocacy efforts. The PAC contributes to campaigns of legislators who support community providers and creates opportunities to build relationships with policymakers. Through these efforts, the PAC strengthens IACP's ability to relentlessly advocate for providers and the individuals and families they serve.
Bidding at the Silent Auction
The Silent Auction will take place during the IACP Annual Conference & Trade Show, October 27-29, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Coralville. Bidding will open in person on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
