Welcome to the Iowa Association of Community Providers
The association (IACP) is comprised of over 150 community-based organizations whose missions and core services are consistent with the association. All member organizations provide quality (licensed and accredited) services to children and adults with mental illness and mental health related issues, mental retardation, brain injury and other developmental disabilities. These organizations serve over 100,000 Iowans with disabilities, employ over 20,000 individuals and contribute nearly $1 billion to the Iowa economy. IACP membershp provides services in all 99 counties in Iowa.
Our Mission:
The mission of the Iowa Association of Community Providers (IACP) is to promote quality services to children and adults with disabilities (MH/MR/BI/DD) in Iowa’s communities by strengthening association members.
The association is committed to promoting healthy and secure communities in which people served have access to appropriate services and supports which enable them to be a part of the community of their choice.
The Goals of the Association:
- influence policies in the public and private sectors which promote our mission,
- secure adequate resources and meet the needs of association members and those they serve;
- provide training and educational opportunities to members;
- provide an atmosphere for the development of innovative and locally responsive services;
- promote the organizational health of the association and its members;
- and provide leadership in collaboration, partnerships, and alliances among and between consumers, public and private payers, providers and other stakeholders.
