New IACP Member Benefit - Legal Counsel

IACP has contracted with attorney Gary Jones, Attorney at Law,  for consultation to our members on issues that are general in nature.  www.garynjones.com.

Gary has worked extensively with organizations in the long term care industry, including many of our members.  By contracting with Gary, we are passing along savings to members by accessing an attorney who is knowledgeable and experienced in our industry as well as the general business and employment legal issues our members face on a daily basis.

Gary is a practicing attorney with an office located in Cedar Falls, Iowa.  He obtained his bachelors degree from the University of Missouri in 1982, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, School of Law in 1985.  He practiced business law in Kansas City prior to relocating his practice to Iowa.  Since 1994 he has practiced with the office of Truax & Jones in Cedar Falls. His practice focuses on real estate, business and corporate law with an emphasis in long term care facilities, including organizations providing ICF, HCBS and mental health services.

Gary will provide a response to each query.  Each response will contain a disclaimer indicating that no attorney client relationship has been formed with the end user.  Responses to queries will be disseminated to the membership as a whole, so all members will benefit from questions asked.

Please Note: 

The consultation is not intended to address specific legal situations facing a particular facility.  Should you decide to go through Gary directly for advice specific to your organization, you will be billed directly at Gary’s regular hourly rate.
